"Freaky Friday 2: Being My Mother Again": Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis return in nostalgic mode

THE OPINION OF THE “WORLD” – WHY NOT
In 1998, Lindsay Lohan was barely 12 years old when she became the new face of Disney productions. The studio was crazy about good little girls, catapulted into sweet series or family films. The United States too, which, from Shirley Temple (1928-2014) to Miley Cyrus , has always needed to produce an image of childlike wisdom. Lindsay Lohan distinguished herself in a series of films that were a hit: the charming Freaky Friday. Being My Mother , by Mark Waters, in 2003, and, the following year, the very successful teen movie Mean Girls , again by Mark Waters.
In this film, the disagreement between mother and daughter and the generation gap are resolved through a body swap: one day, the daughter (Lindsay Lohan) is reincarnated as the mother (Jamie Lee Curtis), and vice versa, until mother and daughter manage to understand each other. The film is a colossal success, especially at home. Then the young star grows up, rebels, offering the tabloids her share of all kinds of antics. After a long radio silence, Lindsay Lohan made her comeback in 2022 in Christmas movies produced on a mass basis by Netflix.
